Counselling in Bristol and South Wales, Westbury-on-Trym, Chepstow & Newport
COVID 19 - I am currently working from home and can offer both online or telephone counselling. Please contact me to discuss which would suit you best
Hello, I'm Catherine.
I am committed to providing counselling that's firmly grounded in the principles of compassion and respect for clients who come to see me. Everyone encounters difficulty at some time in their life and seeking support is a really positive step towards finding a way through the problems.
The sessions provide a safe environment to talk freely about your thoughts and feelings and offer a valuable opportunity to take a pause in the middle of daily life; a space to reflect, experience and be supported.
If something is causing you distress and is important to you, it is good to talk about it, no matter what the problem is; please do not compare your difficulties with those of others - everyone deserves to be heard and to be given time to work through their troubles.
Counselling can be either open ended or short term (e.g. 6-8 sessions) depending on your needs and we can talk about this in your initial session.
I have a wide range of experience; I have worked with university students, in low-cost counselling agencies, in private practice, as an addictions counsellor and with an employee assistance programme as a telephone counsellor/assessor and affiliate counsellor.
I currently work from conveniently located counselling rooms on the High Street in Westbury-on-Trym and in South Wales near Chepstow.
Issues I work with include:
Chronic fatigue syndrome/ME
Obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD)
Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD)
If you are located in the Bristol, Westbury-on-Trym or Chepstow areas and would like to know how I can help, please do not hesitate to give me a call or send me an email.
